Poverty
Poverty
Poverty is a wide range of things. There is lack of food, lack of water or clean water, lack of money, or lack of education. There are more things that fall under the category too. There are different charities helping with different problems. Poverty can kill 11 million children under five a year. There are two types of poverty. The first is absolute poverty where you have minimal to no income of resources. The second is relative poverty. It is when you have fewer resources. The most common one is absolute poverty which is the worst out of the two. Poverty affects a majority of people in Africa.

CARE
The first CARE package was delivered after WWII. 22 American organizations came together to deliver it. They work in the poorest countries first. They work out of Atlanta, Georgia. They reach out to 87 countries in poverty. They work to help women on developing countries along with children. They want to help women grow and do what they want. The money that people donate, only ten percent goes to them and 90% goes to the countries in need. They manage seven schools in a refugee camp called Nagehaley. They had recently ran a 'Dead to Red' marathon to raise money. It was in Jordan. They had raised $25,775. They had also started a food distribution program in Kasungu, Malaw. CARE has been delivering packages since 1945.

How you can help!
They are looking for donations. You can give a a one time donation or a monthly. You can give a dollar a day. They are hoping to continue open schools in Africa. They are hoping that if you don't donate that please spread the world about CARE.
