Thank you to all for a successful fire drill on Monday. It's great to see that every classroom has been practicing and knows exactly what to do to be safe if we were ever to have this type of emergency.
Thank you for all your cooperation in returning paperwork to teachers/office. We know it is a very hectic time of year, and appreciate all your efforts to get things back to us in a timely fashion!
Thank you to Ms. Garber for donating many boxes of sidewalk chalk to our school, and to all the families who have generously donated recess and school supplies to various classrooms. It is all very much appreciated!
Story Time with Mrs. Montecalvo
Thank you to Mrs. Montecalvo and to all who attended this wonderful Story Time event! What a fabulous choice of stories and I loved how all the children were so engaged and excited to be there to celebrate reading!
We look forward to doing this again, and on a regular basis, in the spring.
Cafe Greystone Etiquette Awards
Grades 1 and 5 (rooms 9,10, 13, and 15) were the recipients of these awards due to their exceptional manners last week.
Caught Being Kind
Nassim Hawwa is consistently a helper to many students and grown-ups at Greystone. For example, he will often stop to hold a door for another.
Nicola Macaruso and Loris Bicket were extremely respectful and cheerful as they organized and delivered science materials to many classrooms on Monday!
Devon Davis, from Mrs. Waterman’s kindergarten has been very kind to all his classmates.
Vincenzo Illiano, also from Mrs. Waterman’s class is always willing to help his classmates and teacher.
Isabela S. , Colton M. , and Gabriel A. from Mrs. Kovolski's class have been consistently going out of their way to help others and make sure everyone feels included!
Gavin St. Onge, from grade 5, offered a snack to a friend who didn't have one.
The Hard Hat for Kids
Mrs. Aquilante's 4th Grade class has shown they understand the true meaning of "We Before Me" with this beautiful display outside their classroom. In addition to this, students have the opportunity to earn 'hard hats' when they demonstrate true sportsmanship!

PreK Learning Adventures
Room 1 had so much fun learning the letter A and the word 'an' this week. They also spent lots of time exploring sensory materials, which is very important to help build nerve connections in the brain and encourages the development of language and motor skills.
Buddy Rooms
We all have Buddy Classrooms and it was grade to see this in action this week! On Thursday, Grade 5 met with their Grade 1 Buddies, and Room 11 met with their Room 6 Buddies!

September 30th: School Store during both lunches (12:03-12:33 & 12:33-1:03) sponsored and managed by the PTA. They will accept cash or a check made out to Greystone PTA
