Beep N' Treat
Get ready for a spectacular night! Join Judson ISD for the best character parade in town on Tuesday, October 27th, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Rutledge Stadium. This is a fantastic alternative to door-to-door trick-or-treating. Put on your costume, pull up in your car, and let the Judson ISD employees fill your bag with treats!
This event is FREE and open to the public. Don’t miss the fun! All participants must come in a vehicle; no walk-ups will be permitted. We encourage visitors to dress up and decorate their vehicles. Participants must enter the parking lot from Rocket Lane. They will then be directed around the complex. A map and directions will be posted the week of the event.
COVID – 19 Note: This event will be held outside. Please remain in your car at all times. Plan to attend this event with members of your household. FREE to the public.

Hispanic Heritage Month with Escondido Lions
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15), some Escondido Elementary students, with their parents' help, participated in a recipe exchange. Students were asked to bring a Hispanic recipe to share with their classmates. Our Lions also recreated a flag from a country representing Hispanic cultures. Here is one of our 5th graders sharing their flag! Click on the image to see more!

Daily Curbside Meal Pick-up for Virtual Instruction Students
JISD Child Nutrition changed the way meals are provided for students as of September 28th. Meal delivery by school buses has ended. Effective, September 28, 2020, meals for students continuing with virtual instruction will be distributed through DAILY curbside service at ANY JISD CAMPUS. Each campus has its specific curbside meal time window. Check below for your child’s campus curbside schedule. This means Monday through Friday; each campus will provide breakfast and lunch. As you likely know, September 28th is the date when face-to-face instruction started at all our campuses, and those students physically attending will be fed on campus. This delivery change will help make meal preparation and distribution more efficient for both types of students.
Judson ISD Extends Free Meal Program Through End Of 2020
- A student report card per child
- A student ID per child
- Attendance record from a parent portal on the website
- An official letter from campus verifying the child is enrolled
- Birth certificate per child
Free/Reduced Lunch Applications: It Still Matters
The Judson ISD Child Nutrition Department wants you to know that even though all meals are no cost to students through the end of 2020, the Free/Reduced Price Meal applications are still critical…to you and your student because it’s about more than just food.
Did you know that this application also...
- Can provide discounted fees to register for AP tests (from $64 to $18)
- Help pay fees to participate in sports
- Can reduce costs of college applications (discounted or even no cost)
- Help you qualify for low-cost internet service
- Has a bearing on funding for school programs and services for students
The no-cost meal program will, at some point, end, and we want to make sure that your child gets a nutritious meal without financial roadblocks. See if you qualify. Or, you can get going by filling out the Free/Reduced Meal application now.
These applications are accepted all year, but the earlier you apply, the sooner you can benefit from meals and discounts.
*Note: If your child attends a CEP (Community Eligibility Provision) designated school, you do not need to submit this application.
