Town Manager Provides Economic Development Update Mr. Mizikar provided an update on economic development including the progress of the Edgemere/Flint Pond project and new businesses coming to the "Trader Joe’s and White City Plaza". Market Basket is set to open in the Spring of 2022. Cytiva, the rebranded GE Healthcare Life Sciences, is planning a new site in Shrewsbury as part of a worldwide expansion that includes roughly 200 additional jobs in Massachusetts. The roughly 80,000-square-foot manufacturing building on Route 9 in Shrewsbury will make bioreactors, hardware used by drug manufacturers for growing organisms at 800 Boston Turnpike. | Selectmen Adopt Municipal Website as Official Method for Posting Agendas Pursuant to 940 CMR 29.03, the Board voted to adopt the municipal website, www.shrewsburyma.gov, as the official method for posting meeting agendas. This includes potholes, visibility issues, potential water main leaks and other infrastructure deficiencies. Further, residents can request services from the DPW such as utility service re-reads, pressure checks, flushing, mark outs, abatements, consumption reports, change of owner, illegal dumping, snow removal, tree services, and PAY-T general information. The app can be downloaded through Apple or Android as well as the accessed through the web on the Town's Website and Facebook Page. |

The Board reviewed a press release detailing the new citizen reporting tool powered by SeeClickFix which will allow citizens to report items through a mobile app that they would have previously had to call or email to have resolved. This includes potholes, visibility issues, potential water main leaks and other infrastructure deficiencies. Harris II Scholarship Committee: Robert Holland, Kaitlin Gentile, Jennifer Basgaard, Deborah Deldotto | Renewal of the Central Massachusetts Veterans Services DistrictJustin Sousa, Veterans Services Director, provided an update on the Central MA Veterans District and requested a renewal of the district pursuant to MGL Chapter 115 Section 10. The district was formed in 2013 with Westborough, Northborough and Grafton. Mr. Sousa discussed Chapter 115 and mental health benefits for Veterans. The Board renewed the district for a two year term set to expire on November 30, 2022. | Revised Holiday Schedule for Town Offices Considering current times, the Board considered alternative work schedules for the holiday season as an employee incentive due to sacrifices being made by town staff and their diligent work during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Board commented on the great job done by employees during these challenging times. The Board unanimously voted to close town offices on Friday November 27, close for a half-day on December 24, 2020, and close for a half-day on December 31, 2020.
