Keeping Our Buses Rolling

We would like to give a huge shout out to all of our bus drivers that have worked so hard to get our students safely to and from school each day. Our drivers and transportation department have had to step up and cover for each other while some drivers have been out due to illness.

They've never once complained as they've driven extra routes or transported additional students on their bus. We appreciate their hard work and thank them for taking great care of our Little Giants!

Parents, we would also like to thank you for your understanding as buses and stop times have changed! We appreciate your patience as we work together with our transportation department to keep our buses rolling!

Congratulations to our Little Giants of the Week!

Each week our teachers recognize students that have worked hard, listened to their teachers, and have shown kindness to one another. Congratulations to our Little Giants of the Week!

This week your child brought home an order form for this year's yearbook. If you'd like to purchase a yearbook for $15, you can send that form back in, or order online!

Achievement Wall

Congratulations to all of the students that met at the Achievement Wall to be recognized for their hard work in learning 50 or 100 sight words.

Students that knew 100 were able to sign the wall.

Students that knew 50 or more, but not yet 100, received a star and will soon get to sign the wall as they continue to work hard to learn the rest.

Important Note About Free Meal Program

While all students are eligible for free meals for the 2021-22 school year, there are restrictions to the program per the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) guidelines.

If your student brings lunch from home but still wants milk, fruit, or a vegetable to go with their meal, the USDA requires us to charge a small fee because it is considered an a la carte “add-on” purchase. According to USDA rules, the free program only applies to “complete” meals.

To avoid this fee, students who bring their lunch from home are invited to go through the lunch line and get fruit, vegetable, and milk for FREE. This meets the USDA requirements for a balanced meal so there is no cost.

The program will run through June 2022, or until USDA funding runs out (whichever occurs first).
