PBIS Purpose

The main focus of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is to provide a clear system for all expected behaviors at Creekside High School. While many faculty and students may have assumptions of what is expected behavior, we cannot assume that everyone’s beliefs are similar. Through PBIS, we will work to create and maintain a productive, safe environment in which ALL school community members have clear expectations and understandings of their role in the educational process.

D - Dependable

E - Effort


These character expectations will be exhibited in the cafeteria, hallway, common areas, restrooms, bus loading zone/bus, and in all classrooms daily. Faculty, staff & students are expected to memorize the PRIDE acronym.

PBIS P.R.I.D.E. BUCKS

Faculty & Staff will use PBIS P.R.I.D.E. bucks to reward students who are on track and demonstrating appropriate behaviors, but are seldom recognized. We ask that teachers give a minimum of 2 PRIDE bucks out per class period. Faculty and staff may also distribute PRIDE bucks to students exhibiting appropriate behaviors in other common areas of the building. Creekside School bus drivers will also distribute PRIDE bucks on a daily basis.

Seminole of the Month

Each month of the school year, the PBIS committee will sponsor the selection of a “Seminole of the Month.”

  1. Any staff member may nominate a student each month.

  2. No anonymous nominations will be accepted. The staff member making the nomination must sign the nomination form.

Student nominations should be based on the following expectations for exhibiting Creekside P.R.I.D.E.

PBIS School Store

Students will be given the opportunity to redeem prizes by using all earned Creekside Pride Bucks at our PBIS store. The PBIS store is located in the school's Media Center. The PBIS store will be opened on a bi-weekly basis (2nd and last Friday of the month). Students may redeem their prizes during their lunch periods. Peer Mediation

Mediation is a process in which two or more people involved in a dispute meet in a private, confidential setting with a neutral person (a mediator) and work together to solve their problems.

School Climate Star Ratings

What is the School Climate Star Rating?

In response to the compelling body of research that underscores the importance of school climate, Georgia is the first state in the nation to include school climate as an early indicator in its academic accountability system, the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI). The School Climate Star Rating is a diagnostic tool to determine if a school is on the right path to school improvement. Creekside Monthly Discipline Data Report

Each month, the PBIS team will analyze the monthly data reports that is sent our to us from our school data specialist Julie Schneider. This report will be shared with the faculty and staff during our monthly faculty meetings.

PBIS Monthly Meetings

The Creekside PBIS team will meet on the first Wednesday of the month to discuss needs pertaining to our PBIS initiative. Our meetings will take place on the following dates in Room 310: Sep. 7, Oct. 5, Nov. 2, Dec. 7, Feb. 1, Mar. 1, Mar. 29 (special meeting), May 3rd. Meetings will start promptly at 3:50 PM.
