Third Grade Thankful Trees

Early Dismissal November 30, 2021 - 12 Noon - Bus Service and Lunch Available - NO Extended Day

In an effort to help our teachers and our staff learn strategies to help students and themselves with anxiety, stress, anger, and depression and to not engage in negative behaviors, we will begin a Whole Brain Wellness Program. This offers practical strategies in all of the above mentioned. We are beginning training on November 30, 2021, therefore will need a solid block of time. The other sessions will be quicker sessions which should be able to be done before the students arrive or after dismissal.

Early Dismissal - 11:30 a.m. - December 7, 2021 - NO Extended Day

Masks

At this time, we have gone through hundreds of masks and this morning, we ran out of masks.

It would be very helpful, if you would put one or two extra masks in your child/ren's backpack.

We would welcome donations of masks, if you are able. If you do donate a box of masks, this will meet two hours of your ten volunteer hours.

Thank you!

Contribution Statements for Parish School Families

The Contribution Statements for all school families have been printed and will be included in your Friday folder this week. The statement period is from 1/1/21 to 10/31/21.

Please note: If you do not receive a Contribution Statement that means

1) your family has not donated for calendar year 2021

2) your family is not registered at our parish

3) the family has been registered but hasn't been added to the "School" workgroup.

Late Nite Catechism Comes to St. Damian

We are very excited to announce that our fundraiser this year will be "Late Nite Catechism" on March 24, 2022. While we have secured the event, quite a bit of planning will need to be put in place. We would love for you to join our committee. Please contact Mrs. Ward if you would like to help us out. We really do need you. There are a variety of opportunities large and small to be involved! Thank you so much for your help.

Volunteers and COVID - 19 Vaccine

Beginning on October 31, 2021, all volunteers, including coaches, will need to either submit a COVID-19 Vaccine Card or proof of a negative test to work with our students.

This is per the Governor's mandate for schools. Please understand that if we do not follow the Governor's mandate, we will lose our non public recognition and not be able to play any athletics among other stipulations. All schools within The Archdiocese of Chicago are following the same guidance.

Please bring your card to the main office and we will keep an excel spreadsheet indicated that you have been vaccinated.
