Meet Mr. Lincoln

On Friday, during their US History class, 7th and 8th graders were treated to a presentation by "President" Lincoln, as played by Mr. Dennis Boggs. It was engaging, informative, and also communicated the message to students that they can change them world by becoming the best they can be. We appreciate the local chapter of the National Society of Colonial Dames for bringing this opportunity to GRMS. You may learn more about Mr. Boggs at this link:

“Get Caught Reading” – teachers/staff will give tickets to kids caught reading/10 lucky winners will be picked for gift cards on Friday

Morning Announcement Trivia – trivia questions about books related to diving and the sea. First class to send answer wins a prize

“Take a Deep Dive into Literacy” Bookmark Contest- will be announce the week prior and entries displayed in the media center

“Finish the Comic” – three choices of aquatic-themed comics to complete. Forms available in the media center

This week will be our 2nd quarterly reward for students as part of our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports). Students having passed all their core subject the 2nd quarter, as well as not received any classroom infractions, or days of ISS/OSS, will spend the afternoon outside enjoying fresh air and time with friends. This will occur Tuesday for 6th graders, Thursday for 7th graders, and Friday for 8th graders. Students not having earned the reward will remain in the 7th period class. The reward goes from 1 pm to 1:40 pm. Congratulations students, we're proud of your effort in the classroom and display of good character!

Applebee's Above and "Bee"yond Essay Contest

Students may nominate a teacher for Teacher of the Year. Winners will receive $500 and a class party. Please see the flier below. Interested students may see Mr. Wilson for an essay submission form.

Math Tutor

A local teacher has shared they have openings to tutor students in math. They live nearby and teacher in Flagler county. If interested, email Mr. Wilson and he will share the contact information.
