In preparation for the 2021-2022 school year, TUSD will still be administering the Spanish Placement exam to all students currently in Spanish or students who have requested to take Spanish next year in 9th grade. The purpose of this assessment is to help determine the best fit for placement in 9th grade Spanish (Spanish 1, Spanish 2) based on student mastery and command of the Spanish language.
The window for this assessment is April 12-23 and will be taken at home at a time of your child’s choosing on his/her TUSD-issued device. It will be open 24/7 from 8am on April 12th until 5pm on April 23rd. Details about accessing the assessment and time limits will be sent out by your child’s teacher or counselor on Monday morning, April 12th.
We realize this is not a normal testing environment. We are trusting that your child takes this test with integrity and confidentiality in order to best support them in their Spanish placement for next year.
