World Trade Center Memorial
The World Trade Center Memorial is an astonishing monument dedicated to the tragedy of the September 11th terrorist attacks.Many lives were lost on this day filling the air with sorrow and grief . The monument was built to commemorate those who were lost . The historical exhibit tells the story of what occurred on 9/11 and its continued global significance.This essay will highlight history of the monument, significance of its existence and its aesthetic value to its surroundings and culture.
History
The World Trade Center Memorial has a very torturous past . This monument is a contribution to the twin towers . On September 11th 2001 two hijacked planes are crashed into each of the towers. Killing over 3,000 people and everyone aboard the hijacked planes. The towers began to gradually collapse . This causes an uprise around the country spreading fear everywhere. Emergency responders arrived immediately to evacuate the towers unfortunately many lives were still lost. 9/11 takes a year to completely clean the site. Thirteen years after the infamous Attacks, the National 9/11 Memorial is opened at the former site of the World Trade Center.
