Collingswood is excited to announce its inaugural Edcamp Garden State on April 30th, 2016. For the uninitiated, Edcamp is an international movement aimed at empowering educators by giving them a forum to network, share ideas, and exercise their growth mindset. Without any prepared presentations or corporate influence, Edcamp uses the “unconference” model to invite participants to create their own professional development experience by offering to run sessions when they arrive. Co-organizers Dan Whalen and Brian Kulak are excited to bring the state’s most motivated educators to Collingswood and to make the event an annual expectation. For more information on the Edcamp movement, please visit To register for the event, visit and follow us on Twitter @edcampgs.

PARCC results were mailed home earlier this month. Results from standardized assessments provide just one indicator of a child’s progress. We will use these results to help us plan an academic program that will build upon your child’s strengths and close any existing gaps. This year the PARCC testing dates at the middle and high school are from April 11th to April 13th.
