Genre : Realistic Fiction
Annotation
Three people from different points of view have their stories to tell about their relationships with August Pullman. Each had a relationship with Auggie that either turned out good or bad. Either way, it was still their own life they had to live. They all went through problems. They were starting middle school, so they were going to go through problems. They have different personalities and talk about how they were never friends or how they reacted when they saw Auggie. They all end up loving their lives even though they go through problems.
Favorite Character
My favorite character would have to be Christopher because he was just a good friend to Auggie even though people would think that they were weird. He was there when Auggie needed him the most. He was there when Auggie had a surgery. He defended Auggie in front of his new friends. His friends would think Auggie was weird, and he would tell him not to say that stuff. Chris was going through some tough problems of his own, but he still managed to be there for every one .
Recommendation
I recommend this book to anyone who is going through a tough time in middle school. These stories explain to you how they handled every single one of their problems even if they were bad. They teach you that middle school isn't just about looks or who is the coolest in the grade; no it's about how you focus on yourself. People would pick on them, make fun of them, or even back stab them but they got through that in their own ways.
