Family Newsletter
5/8/22
Happy Mother's Day everyone! I hope that you are enjoying time with your children. I know that they worked on lots of different crafts this week and were so excited to take them home to you!
We had another action packed week! Our pictures above are from our Special Olympics events. We had a great parent speaker this week, Heather Fleming present to families in the cafe. Our kindergarteners went to the zoo on Friday. We got to celebrate Mrs. Harris' retirement at KHS as well. The kiddos are doing a great job following expectations at all of our events and we are so proud of them!
Special thank you to all of our parents and families. You all really stepped up this week to spoil our staff for staff appreciation week. Thank you for your donations! Thank you to our PTO Staff Appreciation committee for organizing everything. We are grateful!
Please reach out at any time to share any questions, concerns, or ideas. I am here to help and support you and your family. Thanks for all you do to help keep our students and staff safe.
Take Care-
Angeline

Please complete the KSD Annual Update
On the evening of Monday, May 2, the primary contact for student(s) who are currently enrolled in the Kirkwood School District are asked to complete the annual update for the 2022-23 school year. If your student is currently enrolled in KSD schools and you plan on your student attending KSD schools for the 2022-23 school year, this process will need to be completed. To clarify, the “primary contact” is the parent/guardian whose address is used as the main address for the student. Only a parent/guardian who resides at the “primary contact” address is responsible for completing this process for each student.
This is an opportunity to update student information such as addresses, phone numbers, emergency contacts, and medical needs.
Also, if you are enrolling a new student to K-12 KSD schools who currently DOES NOT attend a K-12 KSD school you may add the new student to this annual update process while you are completing the annual update for another student. This is a wonderful opportunity to register any students who need to register as kindergarteners for next school year.

Spring KSD Survey- closes May 13
Kirkwood’s spring survey window is open for all students, staff, and families to complete Round Two of Panorama surveys. Your input informs ongoing efforts related to our strategic plan, both at our schools and the district level. Each school has strategic plan goals tied to survey data, and high participation rates will be essential to these efforts. The survey for students and families will be the same as was administered in the fall.
Just as we did in the fall, we are partnering with Panorama Education. Panorama safeguards your privacy, keeping your responses confidential. The survey will be a valuable source of information for us as we work to make our schools and District as good as we can be.
Please click here to take our survey by May 13:

Repeated Information Below

PTO ticket sales for Robinson Night at the Ballpark are closed, and we unfortunately cannot take any new orders. We sold nearly 600 tickets! This is a new record which means we need a little extra time to organize all the tickets for pick-up. For those who have already submitted payment, tickets will be available for pick-up starting Monday, May 9th at Robinson's office. We unfortunately can't send the tickets home in backpacks to ensure all the tickets are received by the appropriate family.
For families that missed the ticket sales or need additional tickets, you may purchase tickets through the Cardinal's online ticket sales or box office. Please note, the $20/ticket was a group sale price so online ticket purchases will vary. Our Robinson community will be sitting between sections 165 and 168 if you would like to sit close.
We look forward to cheering on our Robinson choir and the Cardinals on May 24th!

Robinson PTO Board Needs Volunteers for 22-23 School Year
All open board positions are "elect" positions which means you will work alongside the current board member for a year before transitioning into the role. We recognize many of us are stretched thin in life and couldn't imagine carving out any extra time. But this type of community service really is rewarding especially when you see the joy on our students' and teachers' faces.
If we have a strong, diverse team we can strike a balance with time commitment and will be more successful at building a Robinson community that is connected, engaging and enriched!
All are welcome! Please contact us as robinsonpto@kirkwoodschools.org if you would like to hear more or are interested in joining our Board.
