Miss McCartney's Class
Pumpkin Counting Book
We are counting pumpkin seeds to make our homemade book. I hope you have been reading it at home. And those small tongs, what a great way to improve fine motor skills for handwriting!
We reading with Miss McCartney and finding all those letters we have been learning.
We had a blast carving our pumpkin. We named him Spikey and he had a fierce and angry mouth like our story. We also said Spikey was definitely in the red zone!

Veteran's Day Project
As a veteran, I feel strongly about sharing this wonderful experience with my students. For the week of Veteran's day, Miss McCartney will be dressing in uniform, talking about our veterans, and planning some fun activities, including dressing up! I would like to forgo my usual teacher wish list and ask that our students donate items to our deployed soldiers. We serve a family in our program whose father is currently deployed and would greatly appreciate a care package of goodies! Please if you would like your child to participate, send some of the following items by November 12, 2015:
1. BIGS Sesame Seeds
2. Candy Fireballs
4. Hot Sauce
7. Beef Jerky
8. Banana Runts
10. Heath Bars
12. Granola Bars
13. KIND bars
14. 100 Grands bars
Thank you so much for supporting our troops. I can say firsthand, there is nothing like getting a care package full of goodies (not socks & deodorant) from home.
