January 29, 2021
We will not have the activities we normally have, Family Fun Night & Open House this year. We will also be holding our Kindergarten Round-Up virtually. We hope that next year we will be able to get back to celebrating the way we have in past years.
Proper Cold Weather Attire
There are many students (especially at the Middle School level) that are not properly dressed for the weather. Students will be outside for recess if the wind chill is not below -10 degrees. This means students will need to have hat, gloves, scarf, boots and snow pants (if playing in the snow).
Students that are not properly dressed for recess will be sent in and will speak with me. Lunch time is a time for the teachers to have a few minutes for themselves and should not be responsible for having students not properly dressed in their classrooms.
I understand that some students are unable to be outside in the cold for health reasons and those families have approached me or the teacher.
If you have any questions, please reach out.
In order to get the word out, a postcard was prepared and sent out to families in the area. We also will have an ad run in the newspaper three different times leading up to the start of Catholic Schools Week.
We are hopeful to have an Open House in late Spring. If that is not possible, then the teachers in K3-K5 will offer a Google Meet for the families to meet the teachers and ask any other questions. We will also offer individual tours if any family is interested.
Please share this information with any friends and family members that are considering Holy Angels next year.
Catholic Schools Week
The theme for this year's Catholic Schools Week is Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service. We will be focusing on these by doing mini service projects, class activities, and dress out days (much like a spirit day).
During Catholic Schools Week we want to serve others in our community. If you would like to participate on these days we need you to bring the items listed under the Dress Out Day. If you can’t donate that item you can bring $1 as your donation that will be used to help local organizations and charities.
Monday: Grade 2 is sponsoring Dress as Your Favorite Book Character
-bring a gently used or new book to donate to a less fortunate school in our area.
Tuesday: Grade 4 is sponsoring a Dress Backwards Day
-Make a card for a first responder or health care worker
Wednesday: Grade 1 is sponsoring a Crazy Sock Day
- donate a pair of socks for homeless or nursing homes
Thursday: Grade 5 is sponsoring a Dynamic Duo Day
-donate two things that go together (for example: peanut butter and jelly, cheese and crackers)
Friday: Grade 6 is sponsoring a sports day.
If you want to dress up, bring a dollar to be donated to Coach V Cancer Foundation.

Holy Angels School
We belong to a Catholic community which gathers together to proclaim the Gospel, serve others, and praise God. With the help of parents, teachers, and others we are here to grow in faith, knowledge, values, and respect.
