Expository writing is a style of writing that uses facts and logic to discuss a topic. It is used to explain, define, or instruct the audience on a certain topic. This type of writing is to the point. There are no side taken, no feelings, and no personal opinions used. Factual information and examples are usually needed to write an expository piece. This type of writing is used to help guide the audience through a topic with logical order and reasoning.
