Projectile motion

is a form of motion in which an object or particle is thrown near the earth's surface, and it moves along a curved path under the action of gravity only.

Parabola

  1. a symmetrical open plane curve formed by the intersection of a cone with a plane parallel to its side. The path of a projectile under the influence of gravity ideally follows a curve of this shape.

Projectile motion of the movie was that the cannon shoots out the ball and the ball goes up in the air and it also comes down the same way it went up.
