A Message from Administration
Greetings DLES Community,
It is hard to believe that we have already come to the end of September. Our students are doing such a great job and are working hard towards academic and social-emotional learning goals. The weather is starting to cool off so please make sure your child has something to wear during recess that will keep them warm. Also, please make sure that you put your child's first and last name on their belongings, a lot of our children leave their jackets, sweatshirts, and waterbottles behind and without a name it is difficultt to find the student these items belong too.
Did you know that 150 families have not completed their Family File update?
Mrs. Seminara, Mrs. Chairs, and Dr. Doyle have begun to call individual families to assist with this mandatory task. If you need help completing your Family File, please call the school and someone can assist you. Not only do we need the most up-to-date information so that we know how to send your child home in the event of an emergency, we also must have an updated file in order for your child(ren) to leave school grounds and join their teachers and classmates on any field trips.
It was so nice to see some new parents at last week's general PTA meeting, please spread the word and invite your DLES friends and neighbors to attend the next meeting in October. Not only is this a great way to meet new people but together we are making great things happen for our school.
Proudly Serving You,
Mrs. Caroland, Mrs. Van Osdel, and Mrs. Yerashunas

Please Talk With Your Older Students
If you have older students or have friends with older children, we ask that you please talk to them about the expectation to respect school grounds, property, and the students who are at school. We need to discourage them from banging and kicking at windows, pulling on locked doors, leaving trash for others to pick up.
