Parking Permit Eligibility for Next School Year
Must be in an 11th or 12th grade homeroom - 12th grade will be first priority.
Minimum 2.0 GPA for 4th marking period, passing all classes with no grade of F.
Good attendance with no unlawful tardies to school or class for the 4th marking period and no more than three lawful tardies or absences to school for the 4th marking period.
Good discipline record - no referral(s) for the 4th marking period.
- 12th grade students who do not meet qualifications will be referred to the grade level administrator for review. This delay in processing a permit may result in the applicant being put on a waiting list until the end of the first marking period. With the demand for parking permits, this may result in no permit being issued for the year.
Students with release time or late entry schedule must meet eligibility for a parking permit. Permits will be issued prior to the start of the school year as space permits. Students with release time or late entry schedules who apply after August 28 cannot be guaranteed a parking permit.
Students must have a driver's license and vehicle information at the time of application.
Permits will only be issued for the following priorities as space permits:
Priority One - 12th grade students
Priority Two - 11th grade students who are in regional programs (ex. AOF or AVPA) and live out of district & Tech Center programs which require a student to drive to an internship (reviewed for need on a case by case basis)
Priority Three - 11th grade students playing a fall sport or participating in an after school activity which requires them to stay after three or more days per week. These permits are seasonal and require verification from a coach/sponsor.
Note - Only 11th grade students actively involved in a school program or after school activity will be considered for a parking permit privilege as space permits. Due to limited parking for 11th grade students, requests for permits to go to an after school job cannot be considered.
