FREE Breakfast & Lunch Next Year!
Student Nutrition will be offering free breakfast and free lunch to all students throughout the entire 2021-22 school year. We encourage families to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity.
Even though meals will be free, a family's access to other benefits such as reduced busing rates and activity fees as well as the compensation provided to our district to finance education staffing are still tied to the number of households receiving benefits. We ask your assistance in completion of the Applications for Educational Benefits beginning on July 1 for the 21-22 school year. Thank you!
Dakota County Library Summer Discovery
As the end of the school year approaches, Dakota County Library is getting ready to launch another Summer Discovery, Dakota County Library’s annual summer reading program. Lakeville South High School announces head boys hockey coach
Lakeville South High School announces Josh Storm as the next head boys hockey coach, pending District 194 Board of Education approval on June 8th.
Coach Storm grew up in Lakeville, Minnesota. He attended Lakeville High School and played for both the hockey and baseball teams. After graduating, he played Junior hockey before ultimately attending Bethel University. At Bethel, Josh majored in education and was a two sport athlete, playing hockey and baseball.
In 2005, Josh started his hockey coaching career at Rosemount High School as the head junior varsity coach and varsity assistant coach. From Rosemount, Josh was hired by Owatonna High School, where he has led the Huskies for the past ten seasons. In addition to being the former head coach of the boys hockey team, Storm is a physical education teacher and also works with USA hockey and Minnesota hockey in a multitude of capacities.
“We are extremely excited to have Josh Storm serve as our next head boys hockey coach. Coach Storm is a proven program leader with a wealth of experience as a teacher and a coach,” said Activities Director Tom Dasovich. “He will build outstanding relationships with our entire hockey community.”
“I am thankful for the opportunity and am excited to lead LSHS hockey and build upon its success” said Head Coach Josh Storm. Josh and his wife Maegen have four boys -- Brody (9) Carter (9) Hudson (7) and Beckham (5) -- and currently reside in Owatonna. Josh enjoys coaching and watching his children’s sports, cheering on the MN sports teams, biking, and spending time at their cabin with friends and family.
