SWIFT WEEKLY UPDATE
January 10, 2021
A Message from the Principal
- Children must wear a mask on the bus and in school
- Please continue to complete the EHT Student Covid-19 Reporting Form
- If you would like your child to participate in Parent Pick-up, you must submit a note in writing, as a result, they will not ride the bus
- Remind your child to social distance, wash their hands frequently, and do not share food
As I stated last week, we are welcoming five Kindergarten classes and their teachers to Swift School. Our custodial staff and Facilitator have worked tirelessly over the past two weeks to assist these teachers with this move.
Swift School is ready to welcome the teachers and students.
As always, feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
VIRTUAL and HYBRID SCHOOL HOURS for the week of January 10th
HOURS 9:15 -3:30
SMALL GROUP INSTRUCTION/GUIDED READING 2:40 - 3:30
Establishing routines and schedules for your child will ensure their overall success. We want our teachers and students to follow a schedule that is very close to the schedule they will have when returning to school in person. Therefore, attendance is important and we expect our students to attend their Google Classroom daily. We will pay particular attention to the social and emotional needs of our students, building strong relationships in this new environment and ensuring their comfort as an online learner.
Welcome to Swift

Peace Tea
On Friday, January 15, Karen Ogborn's First Grade class presented a program and celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King's Birthday with a Peace Tea. The students placed a spotlight on King's message, "Solve Problems in Peaceful Ways." Mrs. Ogborn's First Grade class worked hard to memorize facts as they followed in Martin Luther King's footsteps. After the presentation the students shared tea and cookies with their parents and talked about how they could make the world a better place. The Peace Tea was sponsored by the Egg Harbor Township Education Association.
