Weekly Report
Well our week started off kinda sleepy. We are definitely back in the routine here at the end of the week. Report cards are now available for viewing. Please make sure you do this and check grades on a weekly basis. We set new AR/AM goals. They can be viewed at home and your child can show you that.
I reminded them that they are now getting closer to 4th grade. They need to slow down and stop careless mistakes. Writing in complete sentences, rereading what they wrote, and punctuation marks need to be happening all the time.
Reading---The Albertosaurus Mystery Target Skill-Conclusions There will not be any type of story quiz. We are taking MAPS reading and math next week.
Math-We are cruising through Topic 8. I cannot stress enough how important it is to know your multiplication/division facts. This will help so much when we get to fractions. Kids should be up to 0-12 review in multiplication. If not, nightly review needs to be happening at home.
Spelling-words with /j/ and /s/ There will be a test on Friday.
Social Studies--Chap. 4 test on Thursday. There will be a study helper and jeopardy link to help prepare! News stories can begin on Tuesday next week and then back to Mondays.
English--We brainstormed subjects for our compare/contrast writing we began this week. We also looked at examples of compare/contrast writing.
