Happy Mother's Day!
This week we are not only celebrating our fantastic teachers, but Mother's Day as well. We would like to wish all of the mothers, moms-to-be, stepmothers, Godmothers, grandmothers, and mothers-at-heart a special, wonderful day! It seems only fitting that Mother's Day falls during Teacher Appreciation Week, since we know and appreciate the fact that YOU are your child's first teacher and will continue to guide and educate them no matter what grade they are in. Thank you for all that you do!
We would also like to extend special wishes to some of our staff and faculty who became new moms this school year! A very happy "First Mother's Day" to the following new moms and their babies: Mrs. Chludzinski (Carter James); Mrs. Nelson (Jeffrey Scott), Mrs. Carvalho (Aiden Joseph and Grayson Elliot); Ms. Fischer (Kelsey Taylor), and Mrs. Migliore (Elijah Louis)!
Thank You, Teachers!

DECA: National Champs!
Over 17,000 emerging leaders and entrepreneurs attended DECA's annual International Career Development Conference in Nashville, TN, in April, including the LHS chapter of DECA. Our very own Cardinals earned the highest honors, winning first place in the world!
Anjali Agawal and Aanchal Aich grabbed the top spot at the conference with their project (Business Services Operation Research), where state and provincial winners engaged in the final round of competition. Over $500,000 in awards and scholarships were presented to students and teachers for their remarkable achievements.
Congratulations to Anjali, Aanchal, and all of the members of LHS DECA, as well as its fearless advisor, Mrs. Schneck!
"United in One Nest"
The LHS track team designed the banner in this picture and had their classmates, faculty, staff, and administration sign it. They then presented the banner to the Robbinsville track team before their recent track meet. Robbinsville athletes and coaches were impressed and appreciative of our student-athletes' kind gesture while they struggle with the tragedy that struck their community last month.
