Third Grade AIM
Know & Go
Ancient Greece on hold
Today we started designing our Greek homes for our game board.... and then we threw the lesson plans out the window and jumped on a new idea. Let me explain. Collin brought in a homemade rocket that he had designed with Hudson (inspired by a previous AIM challenge) but had built on his own last night, we went outside to see it in action. Before we knew it, we some how came up with the idea to try and build smaller versions out of water bottles and perhaps open a small business. First we went on a hunt for water bottles (which I successfully cleaned), then we started building our prototypes. We also signed non-disclosure forms (once they were all turned in I taught them a life lesson about never, ever signing a legal form without READING it). Our prototypes are still in the design phase but we did agree that whatever we named our product it had to end in a Z because kids buy anything that ends in Z (toyz, petz,). The best thing about my job is that I can be flexible and turn any moment into a real world experience!
