1000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN
Show Low Public Library is excited to offer a new program for children ages 0 - 5 called 1000 Books Before Kindergarten!
The concept is simple and the rewards are priceless.
Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to have read 1,000 books (yes you can repeat books) before your child starts kindergarten.
Does it sound hard? If you read just 1 book a night, you will have read about 365 books in a year. That is 730 books in two years and 1,095 books in three years. If you consider that most children start kindergarten at around 5 years of age, you have more time than you think (so get started).
Your child will receive a special sticker for each 100 books that are read and when they reach 500 books they will receive a special gift!
We will have celebration events throughout the year for all children who have reached the 1000 books goal!
Bring in your child today to get signed up and let's get the reading started!
This program was made possible by a generous donation by
Around the Mountain Pediatric Dentistry!
Thank you!!!
