Hitler Youth
Overview of Holocaust
1933 to 1945, under the leadership of Adolf Hitler, Germany waged an increasingly hostile campaign of hatred, exclusion, and systematized murder against its own Jewish population and the Jewish populations of its conquered territories. This horror is known as the Holocaust.
The roots of the Holocaust lie in centuries of European anti-Semitism, the widespread hatred of and discrimination against members of the Jewish faith. Although originally based in religious bigotry, anti-Semitism began to take on ethnic and racist overtones in the nineteenth century, when Jews were increasingly portrayed as an outsider race that had infiltrated the "pure" European population, diluting its "greatness" in the process.
Definition/Background Infromation
Hitler had killed millions of people because they had different likes or they looked different and he didn't like that. Hitler had got people to betray them. He made them go against them because he didn't like them, and so they did. He wouldn't let family or friends together at all he would separate them. Then he would kill them, because they were Jews and/or they found out they were hiding Jews somewhere. They didn't like that at all. They accused them for something they didn't do.
Origanal Research Question
Why would they only kill the Jews even though the other people were different too?
I think that they only killed the Jews because, they had something that they did for him to get against them and tried to figure it out, but he didn't except the fact that they tried to help things out and make them better. Maybe, he didn't like the way that they dressed or took care of their children, or didn't like anything they did, so he just decided to get people against them so he wouldn't be alone, when he killed people.
