Due to the large number of visitors and for safety reasons, we ask that you please follow the procedures outlined below:

∙ Class Parties that are 8:00-8:30am (adults and students may enter the building at 7:25 and go to the café or gym until the 7:40 bell rings)

∙ ALL adults will need to enter the front doors of the building to check in at the office

∙Please be prepared to show ID-if you have your green fast ID pass on your phone, we will have a check in line just for you

∙ All other visitors must have a photo ID so that office staff can check our Infinite Campus database to make sure only visitors listed for your student will be on campus

∙ If you are not staying for the party, you are welcome to drop your student off at the side doors with staff members or enter the front doors to check in

∙ An announcement will be made at 8:30 to ask all visitors and volunteers to make their way to exit the building– students will remain in the classrooms to continue with their day

When parking on the side streets, please be respectful of our neighbor’s driveways and property. It will be best to park in an empty space in one of our parking lots. Please DO NOT park in the front oval along the curb- we will need to leave this open for bus and daycare arrival.

Thank you for helping keep our students safe and for being patient with us on this fun filled day.

Squiggle Art Project

Over the summer Ms. Kraft, our EL teacher, spent two weeks in Cartago, Colombia as a Teachers for Global Classrooms fellow. She spent her time at the Institución Educativa GABO school. She worked with many wonderful educators and students. Students at Truman Primary are learning about Colombia through a New Year's Resolution Squiggle Art exchange with the students at GABO. Ms. Kraft has visited many classes to share a lesson on Colombia. Our art will head to Cartago, Colombia early next week. We are eagerly awaiting art from our friends at GABO!

PreK & Kdg Enrollment Timeline

Kindergarten enrollment is underway and Pre-K applications are ready! If you know of students who are not currently in a NPS program, please make them aware that we are beginning the process of gathering information on these young children. Paperwork is available for pick-up in the office at Truman Primary. Early enrollment allows us to make many decisions regarding class size and personnel, so an accurate count is essential.

For the upcoming 2019-2020 school year Truman Primary will not be offering a 1/2 day PreK option. We will have 2 Extended Day classes on site as well as 2 Extended Day classes at NorthHaven.
