Summer data use courses
Since 2013, the South Dakota Department of Education has offered data use courses for educators during the summer.
This summer, we will offer the Fundamentals of Using Data for Educators. This course provides educators with the skills they need to analyze and use data to answer important questions to drive positive change in their school, district, or classroom. Participants in the Fundamentals course are eligible to receive one graduate credit at a discounted rate, provided they attend the entire one-day workshop and submit a data project. This course does not require a textbook. Participants who do not wish to earn graduate credit may take the course free of charge.
