Updates for Stilwell Junior High School Families
November 14, 2022
Message from Principal Kuhnert
Fundraiser:
We never like having to ask for money from our families but it is important to know that in the Junior Highs both fund all extra curricular activities on the fundraiser. There is no general funds budgeted towards student activities. We have a goal to hit about $21,000 to just maintain current activity levels and that is about $30 per student. Both buildings have used companies in the past that take a percentage but are now running them all on our own so all donated funds go directly to the students. We do have incentitives for students to support their efforts but please know this isn't just sports. If you attended the musical this past weekend you have seen the funds at work, but also any club or activity is coming from our fundraiser. Please support us and thank you for being amazing familes that we get to work with every day!
Thanks,
Mitchell Kuhnert and David Perrigo

New Roof:
Stilwell and several other school that were impacted by the hail storm in September are getting their roofs replaced the same as many of the surrounding homes. This work will start mid- November and will impact our classrooms with noise. We need to get this done before it gets too cold. The good news the impact to our parking lot and space around the building will remain in the current construction site. We will only be impacted by trucks dropping off materials and the removal of the old roof. Please continue to be patient with all of the construction.
Winter is Coming!:
Some notes to our families as the weather turns colder. We do still have students wait outside unless they come in to eat breakfast so wear jackets, hats, and gloves. We do not allow students to have blankets during the school day so again dress in warmer clothes if you are cold during the day.
