How to Access Your Library Account Online

Not sure what is on your library account?

Log in to DestinyDiscover to view all materials checked out to your account, including Chromebooks, textbooks, and library books.

Follow the steps below.

Step 1: Go to DestinyDiscover.com

Go to www.destinydiscover.com


Search for and select "Mission Hills High School, San Marcos, CA".


Then click Go!

Our home page will appear with "Welcome to Mission Hills High School".


Click on "Log In", located in the top right corner of the home page.


Enter in your username and password.

Username: student email (leave off @smusd)

Password: student's DOB (must be in this format: YYYYMMDD)

Once you've logged in, the home page will reappear with "Welcome [Student Name]".


To view what items you have on your account, choose "My Stuff" from the top of the screen.


A drop-down menu will appear. Go to "Checkouts". Everything currently on your account will appear. Click on the three dots on any given item to renew. If the renewal is successful, a green message will appear at the bottom of your screen.

Return all of your textbooks and library books to the textbook office on or by June 9th (grades 9-11) or June 7th (seniors only)! Pay off all of your fines and fees, especially if you're a senior looking to get your graduation tickets. We only accept CASH.


We open for textbook returns on Wednesday, June 1. You will be scheduled by English class if you're in 9th grade. All other grades will be scheduled through their History/Social Science class.


Remember that all returning students will KEEP their Chromebook and charger.
