Nearly 100 students earned top honors in their core content classes and exploratories. In addition, we were able to highlight our scholars who earned Principal's and A/B Honor Roll. We are beyond proud of them. Please use the links below to access the grade-level presentations and full video presentations.

Rock-Violinist Visits our Musicians
This week, acclaimed rock-violinist Mark Wood performed exclusively for the Willard-Lightridge Orchestra community. Mr. Wood performed and shared his musical journey in an evening session and then he offered musicians a Virtual Performance Workshop, where students participated in three virtual meets learning the song “High Hopes.” This will culminate in a virtual performance video available in June. Thank you to Mr. Carroll for organizing this interactive activity, and we were beyond impressed with all of the student participants!

Thank Your Teachers Today
This past week, many of our families recognized our amazing Willard teachers. Molly Ryan recognized Ms. Sears and Ms. Kilburn. In highlighting them, she said that their classrooms bring joy and happiness to others. Anisha Prabhu wrote beautifully about how Ms. Kane is a kind-hearted teacher and that she is "so proud to have her as one of her teachers." Kyle Zheng shouted out Ms. Porada for anticipating student needs and finding ways for them to master the material. Excellent work, students and teachers! To keep this thankful spirit going, please consider completing our Willard Teacher Shout Out Form. It means so much to us!

Summer Internship Opportunities
Work in Loudoun helps young people find available summer internship positions. The Loudoun Jobs Portal searches more than 10,000 publicly-facing websites to identify the jobs available by employers across Loudoun County. To get started, search "intern" or "part-time" to narrow your results. This is a great opportunity to acquire new skills and prepare for an exciting future!
Course Recommendations
We want to ensure that all of our students are prepared for success in the level of courses they choose. For students who request to Level UP or Level DOWN from that which was originally recommended by the current teacher, we want to keep the door open for your decision. Parents, please complete this form if you wish to make a change to your scholar's course request for the 2021-2022 school year.
The deadline for all changes is Thursday, June 24. No changes will be accepted after this date.
Please feel free to contact your scholar's school counselor with any questions or concerns!
