Jim Dine
He was born on June 16, 1935 in Cincinnati, OH. He started drawing when he was two years old. With his mother's death at the age of 12 he took care of his self. He attended walnut hills High School, and the University of Cincinnati and got a BFA from Ohio University in 1957(Bachelor of Fine Arts). The type of art Media Jim Dine uses are water color, charcoal, enamel, pastel, pencil, chalk. The period of art he works on is Pop Art and Neo-Dada and also works on poetry. A quote he said was " Western art is built on the biographical passion of one artist foe another."

Jim Dine was associated with pop art and Abstract expressionism art. Jim Dine carried the spontaneous through his style. He once said "The figure is still the only thing I have faith in terms of how much emotion it's charged with and how much subject matter is there."

The reason for choosing Jim Dine is because of the Pinocchio Pictures a like the creativity he put into his Pinocchio's. Reading one of his interviews he said "They don't come from anywhere. They come from dreams and they come from my childhood."
