Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off
Take advantage of extended Creek Week hours at the 3RC EnviroStation on Wednesday, March 20
Some chemical wastes from our homes should not be put out with the garbage even though it is perfectly legal to do so. When these materials end up in a landfill they may cause groundwater contamination or other environmental damage in the future.
Forsyth County residents may dispose of household hazardous wastes, including paints, pesticides, herbicides, oxidizers, used oil, solvents, and other corrosive, reactive, flammable or poisonous materials, at the 3RC EnviroStation. The complete list of materials they accept is posted online at Recycling.CityofWS.org.
As its contribution to Creek Week, the EnviroStation will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20. 1401 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Winston-Salem.
The facility is open year –round from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesdays through Fridays, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, except holidays.Diggs-Latham Clean and Green
