OPEN HOUSE

Friday, January 22, 2016

Please sure to join us for our annual Open House on Friday, January 22nd from 5:30-7:30pm. Be sure to visit your child's classroom to see everything they have been doing and learning. You will also have the opportunity to visit your child's classroom and teacher for the upcoming school year. This is a great time to ask any questions you may have. All staff members will be available and anxiously awaiting you and your children.

Open House is for current and prospective families. Be sure to invite friends to see what our school is all about. We will be offering tours, information packets, promotional items, crafts, and refreshments.

Monday, January 18th

  • No School - M.L. King's Birthday
  • PPO Meeting at 6:45

Tuesday, January 19th

  • Destination Imagination - after school (send a snack)

Wednesday, January 20th

  • Pizza Day
  • No need to send a lunch to school unless your child chooses to not want pizza
  • You will still need a healthy snack

Thursday, January 21st

  • Lego Club - after school (send a snack)

Friday, January 22nd - Early Dismissal and OPEN HOUSE

  • Early Dismissal at 12:00pm
  • Open house from 5:30-7:30pm
  • NO Sports Club

Saturday, January 23rd - Panscholiki Yiorti

  • Panscholiki Yiorti
  • Greek Letters Program
  • St. Andrew's Church at 2:30pm
  • Selected students in 2nd - 5th grades
  • Students must wear proper uniforms
  • Students will receive a sash to wear while they are performing in order to proudly represent our school
  • The month of January is dedicated to the Greek Letters and the Three Hierarchs
  • Thank you for representing our school and our community!
  • You make us proud!

Monday, January 25th - Field Trip

  • Church Day - St. Gregory the Theologian
  • Hot Lunch: Macaronia & Kima
  • Field Trip: Kindergarten and First Grades at the Adler Planetarium
  • Be sure to submit all permission slips and admission fees by Tuesday, Jan 19th
  • Greek Dance - after school (send a snack)

Thursday, January 28th - Field Trip

  • 2nd - 5th grades
  • Assumption Church of Homer Glen and Greek Islands
  • Students will have the opportunity to pay their respects to the icon of St. John the Baptist which is currently leaking myrrh.
  • We will then have lunch at Greek Islands in Lombard
  • please submit all permission slips and fees by Jan. 19th

Sunday, January 31st - Greek Letters Program

  • St. Demetrios Church of Elmhurst
  • Following the Divine Liturgy
  • Selected students in 2nd - 5th grades will perform a poem and a play in honor of the Greek Letters
  • Students must wear proper uniforms
  • The month of January is dedicated to the Greek Letters and the Three Hierarchs

Monday, March 4th

  • County wide Institute Day
  • No School
