Halloween Eve Technology Show and Tell Workshop!
A Message from Eden Konja
Hello Faculty! I am really excited to be in this role and eager to collaborate with all of you to identify, develop, implement and support an ever-increasing array of technologies that enrich the educational experience for our students, in the classroom and beyond.
Many of you may not know but I am also an Educator. I currently teach as an Adjunct Professor at Walsh College and Oakland Community College, teaching various Technology Courses. This classroom experience helps me understand the teacher’s point of view, not just the technology aspect. I believe that Learning Management Systems like Haiku Learning are a requirement in today’s classroom. With Haiku and devices available to every student, we have a great opportunity to make learning even more dynamic. I really want us to explore how to better use this tool and hope you attend upcoming workshops. I would love to hear some feedback and get a clearer picture of how you view Information and Academic Technology at Notre Dame Preparatory and Marist Academy. I also encourage you to provide feedback on the support you receive. I want us to continue to be best in class and a model for other schools. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Melissa York for any inquiries about Haiku or any other instructional technology.
Thank you,
Eden Konja
National Cyber Secturity Awareness Month
October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month and each of us has a role in this organization that requires us to be diligent in protecting information. With the recent Phishing scam the focus in this Newsletter issue is passwords. Passwords are like a toothbrush, you should change it every four months and don’t share it with anyone. If it has been a while since you changed your NDPMA password, take some time this week to reset your password. While on campus from your school device, use Ctrl + Alt + Delete and select Change Password.
