Visits in 2022: PLEASE READ
Reducing visit cancelations: With winter weather at our doorstep and illnesses more and more frequent, we know keeping your scheduled visit can be tricky. Our parent educators worked remotely for an entire year and learned A LOT. We know meeting in person is ideal for many, but keeping our visits scheduled (in-person, virtual, or phone) helps our program continue to thrive and allows us to continue to support your family consistently. This year we are asking parents and parent educators to work on reducing cancelations by switching to virtual or phone instead of rescheduling if:
- you or someone in your home is experiencing minor symptoms of illness
- school is canceled due to weather
- you or someone in your home is quarantined due to exposure
COVID/Illness screening: Due to the nature of our job and being in several homes on a daily basis, we will continue to monitor ourselves for COVID and other illness symptoms, as well as send a COVID screening prior to visiting your home. If you or anyone in your household is feeling ill or currently has or in the past 24 hours has/had the following symptoms, we ask that you switch from in-person to a virtual or a phone visit.
Does anyone in your household currently have a temperature in excess of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit?
Have you or anyone in your household had any two or more of the following symptoms in the last 14 days:
sore throat, chills, body aches for unknown reasons, nausea and/or vomiting, diarrhea, congestion or runny nose, fever at or greater than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit?
Have you or anyone in your household experienced one of the following symptoms:
Cough, loss of taste or smell, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Has anyone in your household had a direct exposure to a positive COVID case in the last 14 days?
Masks: You have the OPTION of wearing a mask during your visit. If you would like your Parent Educator to wear a mask, please discuss this with them prior to your visit. If they prefer not to wear a mask, you have the option of switching to a virtual visit or a phone visit.
If you have any questions or concerns about any of this information, please contact Tracy Halphin at 816-986-2471 or tracy.halphin@lsr7.net
