Jackie's contract
Jackie Robinson was questioned by Branch Rickey about his courage. He thought that meant that everyone thought he would have to be a coward. But after all the tension between the two people they came to an agreement and ended up signing a contract with a 3,500 signing bonus and 600 dollars a month. (292 and 295)
Jackie's Fight
In the text it says that “an eight year old girl called Jackie Robinson a Nigger.” This proves to Branch Rickey that Jackie has a history of Racism and that he will be able to control himself around racial slurs. This is Why Branch Rickey signed him, because of his wisdom.(294)
