Principal's Message
I am so excited to begin the pilot with our Kindergarten students!!! I am so grateful to our Kindergarten teachers for taking on this opportunity; I am incredibly proud of all of their hard work, dedication, and planning to make this pilot successful!
As a reminder - the deadline to select the hybrid model is Noon on Monday, October 12, 2020. Parents who want their child to participate in the hybrid model to receive instruction at school on select days need to enter their selection in ParentVUE by Noon on Monday, October 12, 2020. Parents who participate and are eligible for transportation will also be asked if their child will require bus service. To select the hybrid model, log in to ParentVUE and click on the Student Info tab, then click Edit Information. The Return to School option will appear near the bottom of the page. Step-by-step instructions are here.
Parents who wish to have their child continue with remote learning do not need to make a selection at this time. Students will automatically continue in remote learning unless parents select the hybrid model. Please note, the selection to participate in the hybrid model is for the second quarter only.
Students will not be able to switch between remote learning and hybrid for the remainder of the second quarter after Monday at Noon. Please visit Return to School to review the plan for the second quarter.
There is no school on Monday, October 12th. It is a Remote Planning Day for staff.
Best,
Alli Landstrom

There is a flyer below with more information! However, here is some "need to know" information:
- Students must place books on hold through Destiny. This should be completed by Sunday night.
- Parents will receive an email from me either Monday or Tuesday if the books placed on hold are ready for you child.
- Pick Up day is Wednesday from 2:30-5:00 p.m. Pick Up days are October 14th, 21st, and 28th.

National PTA's Reflections Arts Program
If your child has an artistic side, this is the time to start planning for this year's National PTA's Reflections Arts Program. Reflections, which has been running in public schools across the country for several years, is a program that allows students to submit their original creative works in different categories to compete for national awards and recognition. The entries are judged at a school level and a maximum of five entries in each category per grade division advance to the national level where they are pitted against entries from other schools.
This year's Reflections theme is "I Matter Because". Entries are due by Thursday, October 29, 2020. Entries can be submitted in one or more of the six categories – Visual Arts, Photography, Literature, Music Composition, Dance Choreography and Film Production.
***Please note that this year, we are collecting Reflections submission forms and artwork online through a Google site. The is no paper entry form to fill out this year. Reflections entry forms will be filled out online. No physical artwork will be submitted this year, all artwork will be uploaded online through the Reflections Google site.***
Complete rules for each category and the link to the Reflections Google site can be found on the Peterson PTA Google site. If you have any questions or need more information, please reach out to our Reflections Chair Shailja Vannatta, shatoor22@hotmail.com
