Greetings Panthers!
As the school year comes to a close I would like to thank all of our volunteers and community partners who have donated time, money or items to help our school throughout the year. We appreciate all you do for our community! With school being centered around remote learning this past trimester I am thankful for the grace and support that our teachers and families provided while we worked to continue student learning from a distance. We will keep our remote learning hub active over the summer in case your child would the opportunity to practice with any of the linked lessons or activities from this Spring https://sites.google.com/vansd.net/fruit-valley-elementary-hub/home.
Don't let the learning stop over Summer. Many of the apps your child used on-line will continue through July including Prodigy Math, Reading A-Z, and iReady lessons. This year the Police Activities League Summer Camp will be a virtual STEM academy and is open to any child under the age of 18. To find out more visit https://palofswwa.org/summer-camp-with-pal/.
I am eager to see all of you again, and hope the Summer treats you and your family well!
See you soon,
-Mr. Fechter

medications
Parents please note the following items:
1. All medication authorization forms (for any and all medications) must be updated each school year – there are no exceptions. This applies even if your student had a new authorization the last few months of school. Medication forms for next year are in the school office.
2. For students with serious health conditions, the updated individualized health plans (IHPs) will be sent home. These IHPs - plus medication forms and medication, if necessary - need to be submitted to the school office prior to the first day of school, September 1, 2020. The school office opens August 10, 2020.
Please contact the school nurse with any questions or concerns.
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION 2020-2021 NOW ENROLLING
To register for kindergarten, bring proof of birth date and records of immunization to your neighborhood school.
Jump Start (summer school) - August 10 - 21, 9:00-11:30. This is a fantastic program that gets your child ready for kindergarten. They learn routines, make new friends, have fun, and get ready for full day kindergarten. Please consider sending your child to this, even if they can only come part of the time.
Any child who will be five years old on or before August 31 is eligible to enter kindergarten this fall.
