CARBON

JOVAN JACKSON BLOCK 1

INTRODUCTION

3 chemical properties of carbon is it has a boiling point at 4827 C. Carbon is the chemical element with symbol c and atomic number 6. All carbons allotropes are solids under normal conditions , with graphite being the most thermodynamically stable form. Carbon is found as carbon dioxide(CO2) in the atmosphere of the earth and dissolved in all natural waters. It is a component of great rock masses in the form of carbonates of calcium (limestone, magnesium, and iron. Coal, petroleum, and natural gas are chiefly hydrocarbons. It had 3 isotopes and reactivity a strong series heating is required to make carbon powder burns in oxygen. Carbon dioxide that subsequently formed can turn lime water( calcium hydroxide solution ) milky.
