President John Adams (1797-1801)

Leader of the Year

What is a Leader? What are the advantages? What are the disadvantages?

Being a leader is leading a new path in the way for people to follow. Acting like a leader is to be involved with your community. President John Adams was those two and many more. John Adams was President of the United States from 1797 to 1801 and he was a part of the Federalist Party. One main reason why John Adams deserved to be president was because he was known as a problem solver, someone who is understanding, and was a confident risk taker.

President John Adams did anything to solve problem making conflict for many people. Once you solve a problem you don’t have to solve it again. If he didn’t solve one of his problems it could change what happens now. “Despite several brilliant naval victories, war fever subsided. Word came to Adam that France also had no stomach for war and would receive an envoy with respect. Long negotiations ended the quasi war.” He won that problem with his great problem-solving skills.

John Adam understood what anybody was going through at the time. He was very experienced in being a farmer and including government. When people needed help with taxes especially farmers having to sell their land or property, the people who have been rich all there life didn't understand, so he was there for them as a good leader.

John Adams was a risk taker. He would take his role really seriously as president. If anything would happen he would take charge as a strong confident president. When taking charge you have to do whats right for you and more importantly your country. Adams was a leader with goals and bravery to take risks.
