Kindergarten Update

We've been busy...
Last Week's Fun...
*We introduced the sight words "your" and "do."
*We finished up our study of flat and solid shapes. The kids did an amazing job with this!
*We continued our study of features of informational text.
*All the children completed their pet research.
*We continued learning about writing informational reports.
*We had an awesome field trip to Kaleidoscope!
*Our third grade buddies helped us with a fun review of shapes using Kahoot.
This Week's Fun...
*The sight word "not" will be introduced.
*We'll begin a math unit focusing on sorting, classifying, and interpreting data.
*We'll begin writing our pet informational reports in small groups.
*We'll test our knowledge of informational text features by searching for those features in nonfiction books.
*We will go to the "Kindness Assembly" to hear stories of kind adults in our community.

*Tuesday, May 5: Early dismissal at 2:00 (last one for the year)!

*Thursday, May 14: Field trip to Wilderness Science Center
BOGO book fair

*Thursday, May 21: Last day for Kindergarten (full-day schedule)
Yearbook signing in AM
*Friday, May 22: Last day for grades 1-5 (11:45 dismissal)
