Pine Run Elementary School March- April 2013

From Story To Stage: A Musical Revue

Fifth and sixth grade students did an amazing job highlighting classic children's literature through music, dance, and drama! From Seussical, to Wicked, to Wonka Jr., this original script had it all. Many thanks to our dedicated writers and directors Mrs. Packel, Mrs. Quinn, Mrs. Thomas, and Mrs. Berman! Thanks also to our grade-level teachers and to all our parent volunteers! Pine Run students ROCK!!

Healthy Choices Builds Healthy Lives

Every day Pine Run students are faced with choices about what to put into their bodies. These choices impact their growth and development. We are helping in the following ways:

  1. Aramark offers breakfasts so your children can have the most important meal of the day. A full breakfast is available for $1.45.
  2. March 4-8 all breakfasts are $1.00 (see below).
  3. Teachers are encouraging healthy eating.
  4. Children are celebrating good happenings with non-food rewards.
  5. Parents are sending healthier treats including:
  • Granola bars
  • Fruit Shish Kabobs
  • Whole grain breads
  • Raw vegetables
