Teaching & Learning Update
9.25.17
If you remember way back to the CIA Report in late August/early September, the Teaching & Learning team indicated that we would begin communicating with you collectively and all at once about once a week (or less).
We know you receive a million emails, and we figured this would be a helpful way to cut down on the number of emails you receive.
Feel free to forward this information on directly, or to copy and paste information from her to share with staff.
If you have questions about anything here, please let us know!

Missouri Day - October 18
October 18 is Missouri Day! Below is a brief description of the day and what is expected of educational organizations for the day.
If you would like some help generating ideas for the day, please contact Nichole. She would love to help!
The third Wednesday of October of each year is known and designated as "Missouri Day" and is set apart as a day commemorative of Missouri history to be observed by the teachers and pupils of schools with the appropriate exercises. The people of the state of Missouri, and the educational, commercial, political, civic, religious and fraternal organizations of the state of Missouri are requested to devote some part of the day to the methodical consideration of the products of the mines, fields, and forests of the state and to the consideration of the achievements of the sons and daughters of Missouri in commerce, literature, statesmanship, science and art, and in other departments of activity in which the state has rendered service to mankind.
Don't forget to sign up for STEM Olympics!
The district wide STEM Olympics will take place on Tuesday, March 6 4-8 pm for grades K-4 and Tuesday, March 13 4-8 pmfor grades 5-8. The activities at the building level will be different than the ones at the district level. This year we will also be adding a county wide competition. More information to come soon.
Each grade level will send 1 building level winner to the district STEM Olympics.
For additional questions, please contact your building representative.
Be sure to complete the form below (it's only 4 questions!) by the end of the day Friday, 9/29. It's important to do this so Meghan Aydelott and Katherine Schack can get the supplies to each teacher as early as possible.
