My students at Norwood and Randall Holden are beginning some exciting new projects. Great tools like MyCreate, Voki and Blogger are allowing students to share their finished work with the world.

First grade Take Home Books

With the start of the falling leaves, first grade classes have begun to take books home from the library. Caring for their books helps to teach responsible sharing as members of the school community.

Second Grade Illustrators

Second grade classes are beginning a new and exciting project. Using MyCreate, a program that helps even young students create stop-motion animation, students are illustrating a fact they learned from reading informational text. Here's a quick example I created to show the students what is expected. Stay tuned for student work soon on the library webpage.

Third Grade Mission Accomplished

It is a joy to see the third grade students moving confidently between the online computer catalog, and the library shelves to independently find their books. A multi-stepped skill that involved alphabetization, reading shelf signs, number order, and navigating a new computer website.

Destiny ebooks

Did you know there are free eBooks for your children at home? Students can go to our library catalog at Norwood or Holden, and sign in with their student ID number, password is warwick. Read on any computer or download the app to add ebooks to your child's electronic device.
