Dear HMS Parents, Guardians, and Students,
We have a lot happening at Hastings Middle School!
We are gearing up for conferences on March 2 and 3. March 2nd will be our evening conferences from 4:30-8:30. March 3rd conferences will be during the day (no school for students) and will run from 8:30-12:00 and 1:30-4:00PM.
We will continue to schedule conferences through PTC Fast, the online scheduling option. Parents/guardians will choose times to meet with however many teachers they wish. The default conferences will be through Google Meets (just like fall) and parents have the option to request in-person conferences. All the directions will be included when the sign up link is sent out.
We will begin sign up for conferences when the link is sent out to you on February 22 (Wednesday next week), so please look for the communication on that day!

Upcoming MCA Testing
We will begin our Mn Comprehensive Assessments (MCA) during the week of March 27. We will share more information as we get closer to that week!
Calendar Reminders
- No school on Monday, Feb 20 (President's Day) or Tuesday, Feb 21 (Professional Development Day for staff).
- No School on Friday, March 3 (Conferences)
- Spring Break is March 13-17 (no school).
Looking for Volunteers
Our HMS PTA is looking for any parents/guardians who would be willing to volunteer during lunches on Tuesdays in our Raider Cove. The Raider Cove is where students can "spend" their Raider Recognition tickets on various items. This has been a great success, but it also is difficult to open if we don't have volunteers to run it.
