All three of these tests will be administered on Tuesday, April 5. The ACT and Practice ACT will start at 7:40 and the Bilingual Seals test will begin at 9:00. In order to administer those tests to all of those students All students in Grades 9 and students in in grade 12 (not taking the Bilingual Seals Test) do not need to report to school that day. They will be working asynchronously from home that day. We will provide more specific information to our entire student body as we approach that date.
EHS Students grades 10 and 11 will take the computer-delivered Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCAs) during the Spring Trimester. These will primarily be administered in grade 11 Math classes, grade 10 English classes and in Biology classes.
The MCAs are part of the educational accountability system in Minnesota and evaluate district, school and individual student progress on Minnesota Academic Standards in reading, math and science. There is no minimum passing score on the MCAs; schools use MCA results to make curricular and instructional decisions for all students.
- The reading test includes multiple-choice and other item-type questions which test skills in literature and informational text.
The reading test is administered to students in grade 10.
- The mathematics test includes multiple-choice and other item-type questions involving numbers and operation, algebra, geometry and measurement, and data analysis and probability. The grade 11 MCA also includes algebra, geometry and measurement, and data analysis and probability. The mathematics test is given in grade 11.

Cool School Mobile Plunge
Our school will be hosting a “Cool School Mobile Plunge” on April 1st in an effort to raise funds aimed at benefitting Special Olympics and our Unified movement at Eagan High School. Students and EHS staff may register to "plunge". All others, please consider donations!
What is a “Unified movement”? This is a purposeful plan to promote meaningful social inclusion by bringing together students with and without disabilities to create accepting school environments. At Eagan High School, we have done this through shared activities, courses, sports and activities. We currently have a Unified PE class, have participated in Unified Bocce Ball, Basketball, and Bowling. We also have a school wide group called Wildcat Connection. This group plans activities that cultivates inclusion and sustaining relationships.

Face Masks No Longer Required At Eagan High School
We are still providing masks for students, staff and visitors. We will support students, staff and visitors who continue to wear masks - respecting the choice to do so.
COVID-19 Data Shared on Dashboard
Specific COVID-19 information, including data of student positive cases, school-specific cases, county cases and vaccination rate, is updated weekly on our COVID-19 Dashboard available on all school websites. (Be sure to scroll down the site until you can click on High Schools). School COVID-19 teams will no longer send case notifications to families. Families must maintain personal mitigation efforts, with or without a notification , and direct their attention to monitoring symptoms, keeping students home when sick and frequent screening as necessary.
We need all community members to care for each other and their community by practicing universal precautions:
- Monitor for symptoms every day
- Stay home when sick and test
- Get vaccinated and boosted as soon as you are eligible
- Test frequently for COVID
These mitigation strategies are repeated frequently to members of our learning community, but remain the most effective strategy. We recommend parents to check the COVID-19 dashboard regularly for updates, as well as using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s daily county case rate tracker.
