Week 1: June 11-15
This book is set in the year 1955. Post one event or fact about that year that you researched on the padlet. Do not forget to cite your source.
Week 2: June 18-22
Find one of Aunt Polly's many pie recipes throughout the book. Make the pie! Post a picture of the pie and rate how yummy it was on the padlet!
Week 3: June 25-29
Alice loves to make up little rhymes. Post a nice rhyme that you have made up about our wonderful school on the padlet!
Week 4: July 2-6
Every good business needs good advertisement. Create a poster or flyer that promotes the Pie Shop. Post or attach your poster to the padlet!
Week 5: July 9-13
Lardo...what do you think he looks like? Draw or create what you think Lardo would look like OR tell us about your cat if you have one. Post your cat or Lardo pictures on the padlet!
Week 6: July 16-20
This book is all about recipes and food! Find a new recipe to make as a family this week. Post the recipe and what you thought on the padlet! Would you make it again?
Week 7: July 23-27
Aunt Polly's pie shop is a local favorite in Ipswitch. Find a local business to you to shop this week. Post a picture of the shop on the padlet!
Week 8: July 30-August 3
In the story, everyone is in search of Aunt Polly's world-famous piecrust recipe. Share a favorite family recipe that you do not want to lose on the padlet!
Week 9: August 6-10
Sarah Weeks is the author of this book. Being a writer can be surprisingly lonely, and writers love feedback and to hear stories about how their words are impacting their readers' lives.
