Principal's Message

Greetings Eagle Nation,

This week has been a tough week for everyone. These are challenging times but our staff is working hard to persevere and provide our students with quality instruction as much as possible.

Notes on quarantines:

The district has sent out information from Mr. Spurlock and Dr. Sullivan about instructional expectations when a student is quarantined and that each school would be relaying more specific information. We will be sending something out on Monday to address our quarantine instructional procedures and I will say most older students already know what to do and how to access it and really do quite well with it.

We thank you for your patience and support during this difficult time and we look forward to getting back to normal hopefully sometime soon.

Thank you and Go Eagles!

School Wide Fundraiser

1NDone Eagle Run

Our school wide fundraiser is set for Friday September 10th. Students are asked to raise $50 in donations from sponsors to participate in the event. All money collected goes directly back to the students. In the past, The Eagle Run has purchased classroom laptops, computer software, library and campus improvements as well as student and ACT incentive. All students participants receive a T-shirt.

Eagleville School sincerely appreciates your support of our school.

MUMS

Our garden mums are blooming and its time to get the business booming! My horticulture students would be delighted to help beautify your home and lawn with some gorgeous fall colors. All the varieties available are listed in the flyer and the cost is $5 each. We are open to the public from 9 am to 3 pm each school day and we will also try to post some hours before and after home football games. I can receipt cash, take checks, or run your card through the square.

Thanks so much for supporting this student program!

Lunch Visitor Information

We are currently planning to allow a limited number of parent visitors at lunch in the near future. Our plan is to assign days of the week to each grade level, ie Monday-Kindergarten, Tuesday-1st grade, etc. for parents to sign up on a first come/first serve limited basis to come eat lunch with their child if they choose to. Our cafeteria's are very small so we planned on starting with those lunches being held outside in the courtyard weather permitting. This is still in the planning stages and we are still trying to get used to our lunch schedule in general but will have more information sometime soon. We will let you know as soon as we are ready. Stay tuned.

Elementary Arrival and Dismissal

So far we have done really well with car rider arrival and dismissal. We do need your assistance though to try to speed up the process so everyone can get through those lines in a reasonable amount of time. We do ask that you not exit your car at arrival or dismissal. We do have adults outside to assist anytime our students need help. We thank you and as always let us know if you have any questions.

Updated Dress Code

Our updated Dress Code policy is listed in the student handbook located on the school website. We have modified some language this week in the dress code as follows:

5. Form-fitting clothes (dresses, leotards, Spandex, Lycra, leggings, jeggings, yoga pants, etc.) MUST be covered appropriately, ie as long or longer that fingertip length. This includes clothing underneath sheer clothing.

We are removing the language of the requirement that covering must be as long or longer than fingertip length. Please note that it still MUST be covered appropriately.
