PB&J BLITZ: IT'S PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME!
This week we started our kick off to another season of giving in our annual partnership with The Chattanooga Area Food Bank.
This year, we have been challenged to gather as much PB&J before Tuesday, October 2nd in advance of our Friday, October 5th high school football game at Notre Dame High School. Off the field, we will be competing to see which school can contribute the most in a PB&J Blitz!
So what do you need to do? Send plastic containers of peanut butter and jelly to school through this coming Tuesday, October 2nd (please, no glass!)
We will collect your contributions and The Chattanooga Area Food Bank will pick everything up. They will weigh our contributions against that of Notre Dame, and the winner will be announced during pre-game next Friday night ahead of our televised game on The CW Chattanooga!
Help us fight childhood hunger right here in Chattanooga with this year’s PB&J Blitz!

3rd period - 9:00-9:55

FAFSA FRENZY
The Guidance Office has invited Eric Farmer with Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation on October 16th from 6:30 - 7:30pm in the Chapel to assist our families with filling out the FAFSA. Many of you are experiencing the college application process with your first child and there are a lot of new things being thrown at you. One important item that you cannot miss is the Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA). This form is a MUST for all families to complete as all financial aid from universities and the Tennessee Hope or Tennessee Promise are determined by the FAFSA. The application will open on October 1st. The sooner you fill it out and submit it, the better.
"I BRING YOU GOOD TIDINGS OF GREAT JOY!"
Dear Silverdale Family,
It is time to start preparing for our celebration of Christmas and the season of JOY. The Christmas Shoppe Committee enjoys serving our children while helping them shop for Christmas gifts for those they love. This is a big deal for the children! Additionally, we are excited to open up these vendor spots to our parents at Silverdale.
The Christmas Shoppe consists of 15 vendors. Do you have a craft that you would like to sell? We ask that all items be $15 or under. Set up day is Tuesday, November 13, 8:30-12:00. The Shoppe will be open for students to shop November 14-16, 8:30-3:00. We ask that you be available, with your booth set up for the entirety of shopping time.
• A breakfast of pastries and coffee will be provided November 14th-16th.
• A SAGE Dining lunch is available for $5. The menu is available on the Parent Portal
• Vendors will keep all money made by the sale of their crafts.
• The cost for a vendor spot is $50.
We only have 15 vendor spots available, so please submit your intentions to participate along with the details of your craft by Friday, October 5th by filling out the form here. The committee will make known the chosen vendors by Friday, October 13th. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
This is a highly anticipated, joyous event for our children, vendors, teachers, staff, and volunteers. We look forward to celebrating the Christmas season with you!
With Christmas JOY,
The Christmas Shoppe Committee
Caroline Hendry & Julie Gardenhire

This group will be praying specifically for our Academy, our faculty and staff, our students, and our parents. Kelli Preast and Angela Tumlin, two of our SBA parents, will be leading this group.
We are excited about this opportunity and would love to have you join us. Let us know if you have any questions.
DISCOUNT CARDS
Your child should have brought home an envelope from our PTF, containing information about selling discount cards that can be used at area businesses for a year. There are several incentives offered to your child and to their class, depending on your involvement.
Your support is always appreciated!!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
